Google Calendar’s favicon now shows the current date

Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference.

Today marks five years since Google first launched its Calendar service. To celebrate, the company has unveiled a new favicon that that will update every day, to show the current date. Useful, huh?

While the new feature hasn’t rolled out to all just yet, Google says everyone should have it within the next few days.

Yep, it’s hardly on a par with the launch of Gmail in the company’s history, but it’s a neat addition to look out for in a service that many people have grown to rely on every day. Happy birthday Google Calendar!
