A new feature to Gmail Labs: Search Docs and Sites within Gmail

If you’re a Gmail user, chances are that you’re familiar with Gmail Labs. Some of the greatest toys for your Gmail are available in Labs and come out without any sort of fanfare.

The latest, I have to say, is my favorite so far – Expanded search to Mail and Docs. Want to find it? Click the little green beaker in the top of your Gmail to take you into Labs then look down the list for this:

Once you have Apps Search enabled, you’ll be able to search in Google Docs and Sites. The Docs and Sites results will show up under your Gmail search results:
