If you’re anything like me, you were delighted to hear Google had gone all b(l)ing and made it possible to add a background image to your Google homepage. If you’re anything like me, you were also very disappointed to hear you were going to have to wait before the feature became enabled for you.
Good news. You don’t have to wait.
Visit this link now and get customizing.
The only downside is that it only works on the main google.com site, not google.co.uk or any other international domain. If you’re abroad, you’ll need to bookmark http://google.us.

How about you think of some of your own ideas Google?
Sorry….. real full backgrounds are nothing new. So it’s no M$ brain dribble that Google was looking at! ….because they made it a fully customizable background w/ your own photos. Instead of a cheesy ding slow loading insert of free open galleries that everyone has. Oh…. duh… gee is that why Bing and Google had the same images? o.O haha….
Amazing what a little use of a small vectored png file can do using intelligent lite resources, isn’t it! :P haha… I just gotta laugh when my Google Search page POPs open with the view out my window full screen so fast! :D
But since you mention this. How about M$’s copying Google Maps and Streetview? ….you know “Streetside”? lol….
@Ashker Here’s the link to Pacman:

It seems only the wallpaper is rolled out in Chrome. Firefox, and Opera (my main browser) doesn’t show it yet.
Works for me. Firefox 3.6.3.
nice big pic but i like the light chrome
Why do you want some Photo behind your searchscreen? a searchengine should be fast, not Pretty.
@deJong-IT Well….. duh… why do you think you have a Choice with Google? :P ….but in all reality, check the load time with and without to see what smart coding can do! ;)
