Most Apple fans were left frustrated by the company’s decision to axe the audio jack on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus mainly because it will prevent them from listening to music while their device is charging.
Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller’s answer to this issue is for customers to purchase a Lightning Dock for $49, as it features an integrated headphone jack.
However, mobile accessory specialist Belkin has unveiled what I believe to be a much better alternative — the Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar adaptor.
As its name suggests, the device is simply a Lightning port splitter. All you have to do is attach it to your iPhone and plug in a charging cable and a pair of EarPods; then you’ll be good to go.

Those interested in the adaptor will have to fork out $40 for the privilege of rocking out to their favorite tracks while their shiny new iPhone charges.
Personally, I think that’s a reasonable price to pay for a portable adaptor that will work even if the iPhone is enclosed in a chunky cover, like the official Smart Battery Case.
The Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar will be available to purchase from Apple’s retail stores and Belkin’s website on Monday, October 10.
