Oppo unveils its 5.5-inch Quad HD Find 7 smartphone, touted as able to take 50-megapixel photos

As announced previously, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo took the wraps off its Find 7 Android smartphone today in Beijing, a power-packed device boasting top-of-the-line specs.

The Find 7 boasts a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560x1440p) display. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and runs on a 3,000 mAh battery. It is equipped with a 13 megapixel camera which, by taking ten photos at the backend, can produce 50 megapixel photos with its ‘Super Zoom’ feature. It also allows for video recording in full 4k resolution, and 720p 120 frame-per-second slow motion videos.

At the same time, Oppo also released a lower-priced Find 7a to cater to a wider range of customers. The Find 7a comes with a full HD display (1920x1080p), a 2.3GHZ quad-core processor, a 2800 mAh battery, and less storage of 16GB.

Both devices will be available globally in mid-April, with the Find 7 retailing for $599 and the 7a for $499.
