Facebook is testing digital stores with a ‘buy’ button for Pages

Facebook is a destination for a lot of things, and may soon be your go-to for shopping as well as photos of your cousin’s new baby. According to a report from BuzzFeed, Facebook Pages will soon host e-commerce shopping sites.

The digital storefronts will even have a “buy” button to help you get items you’re obsessing over.

“With the shop section on the page, we’re now providing businesses with the ability to showcase their products directly on the page” Facebook product marketing manager Emma Rodgers says.

It’s not clear when the ‘shops’ feature may roll out; it’s still in the testing phase. Facebook currently has a few partners it’s working with, but is mum about who its launch partners will be. Cross your fingers that your favorite store or brand is on-board.
