Facebook Rolls Out New Find Friends Feature

Facebook Rolls Out New Find Friends Feature

If you logged on to Facebook this morning and noticed a new Find Friends button at the top right of your screen then you’re not alone.

Apparently Find Friends is a new dedicated friend discovery tool that aims to help make it easier for you to find friends and make connections with Facebook. This, along with the new profile status indicators we wrote about here on TNW makes it seem like Facebook is taking strides to improve how it connects people.

The tool provides you with a tiled set of choices to the right and you can refine the options it gives you by using the filters on the left hand side. The filters include your home town, high school, employer and your current city of residence. You can simply add friends here or you can hover over the name to see what friends you have in common or to send them a message.

Some of our editors are reporting that they cannot yet see the new feature so apparently it’s currently in the process of being rolled out to Facebook accounts.

Can you see the new Find Friends section yet?

This story will be updated as we get more information.
