Tech5 France: Uplike named France’s fastest-growing tech startup

Congratulations to social bookmarking service Uplike on being named the fastest-growing tech startup in France at the Tech5 final in Paris last week.

Speaking about the company’s success, its founder Emmanuel Francoise said:

Being the French winner of the Tech5 is really important to us. We are a small team of passionate people and this comes as a great reward for our hard work and daily efforts! We are proud to represent France in the European final in Amsterdam and look forward to meeting other talented teams.

TNW and Adyen hosted the French event in Paris at the home of TheFamily Incubator. The five finalists were 1001menus, Dataiku, Drivy, Mention and of course Uplike. Each of the five finalists presented on the evening before sitting down for a panel discussion around the theme of tech fuelling growth.

Tech5 aims to identify Europe’s fastest-growing young tech companies. Finalists are chosen by their growth rate between 2012 and 2015 based on actual revenue and employee data. Each company must offer its own scalable tech-driven product or service, be less than five years old and have revenues of more than €200,000.

The French Tech 5 final follows the Netherlands, UK and German finals with Sweden and Spain happening in the coming weeks.

Uplike will be appearing onstage at TNW Conference Europe, but with Tech5 wildcard voting open, you can still cast your vote for one of the other 30 Tech5 companies to join the regional winners at the big event!
