So we’ve already shown off the potential of HTML and tables to replace any image. The problem there was the amount of code required to make it happen, it literally crashed most browsers.
These logos by eCCSExpert however make it possible with an impressively minimal amount of pure html and CSS, no tables. We’ve taken screenshots of them below but check them out in their full glory here.

LikeThese are great. I love the Pepsi & Atari ones out of the collection on the enclosed link. I wonder if CSS will be expanded past CSS3 so more logos can be created like this?

LikeThe question remains though: why? It's a completely inappropriate use of technology (much the same way that using tables for pixel graphics was). Pointless collections of divs and spans, semantically meaningless, vomited onto the page with lots of styling. There are better tools, like SVG, for this...

Likepatrick h. lauke no divs in this one, seems pretty clean to me. I can't see why in this case, and in due course, we wouldn't be able to use CSS for logos.
