Eyefi links up with IFTTT to manage photo publishing and sharing

Eyefi, known for its popular Mobi wireless camera card and companion cloud sharing service, has announced official integration with IFTTT (If This Then That).

Photography enthusiasts who use Eyefi services can tap into IFTTT as a quick way to wirelessly transfer and automatically sync new images to Eyefi’s Cloud storage, as well as trigger a host of customized, automated actions within IFTTT.

Photographers can now connect with more than 125 channels to trigger actions for how and where their photos are published, shared and stored, and how they integrate with social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and even Evernote.

For example, an Eyefi recipe can be created so that if a photo in Eyefi Cloud is tagged “social” it will automatically post to Twitter, Facebook or other networks, rather than the photographer having to individually post each photo. This lets any shooter share pictures at the time of capture.

Eyefi Recipes can be created to send favorite pictures from social networks to a personal photo library. For example, if a photo on Instagram is tagged #myfavorite, it will then automatically be uploaded to Eyefi Cloud.
