6S Marketing Makes It Easier for Small Businesses to Learn Online Strategy

6S Marketing Makes It Easier for Small Businesses to Learn Online Strategy

There is no question that having a solid strategy is essential to having a successful online presence of any sort. The problem for many small businesses is that to learn how to create a good, solid strategy (and learn from people who know what they are talking about), it costs money. Sure you can pick up some tips from your local Social Media Club (I’m affiliated with Social Media Club Vancouver), but an evening session just isn’t going to cut it. You need more. You need time, you need to be able to ask questions and have something to sink your teeth into.

To meet this need, Vancouver’s 6S Marketing, long time leaders in online marketing, seo, and social media marketing, have recently launched their new Strategy Academy offering classes in Marketing, SEO, and Social Media strategies. These classes are aimed at the small to medium sized business to learn what they need to know to start off on the right foot. Now while this is fantastic, and I wish them all the best, personally just launching the Strategy Academy is only part of the story. The real story is how 6S is making the classes more affordable.

As part of launching the Strategy Academy, 6S made sure that the classes qualified for Workplace Training for Innovation Pilot Program (WTIP) set up by the B.C. government Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development. For businesses with 50 employees or fewer, they can qualify for funding assistance for an employee to take these courses and get the training that the business needs to be successful.

I don’t know what it takes to make sure your program qualifies or how much work went into getting the qualification, but I think the fact that 6S did it in the first place says a lot about founder Chris Breikss. Offering classes is one thing, they take a lot of time and effort to put together and hold (since I am a teacher, I’m well aware of this), but going the extra mile to help make the classes more affordable to the folks who need them the most. That’s something.

You can find out more about the 6S Strategy Academy on their site.
