The move makes it the first bank in the country to allow transfers via Twitter, and alongside sending money, also lets customers to check their account balance or view the last three transactions on their account. It also allows users to replenish credit on a pre-pay mobile account.
While it’s the first bank in India to facilitate service via Twitter, it follows French banking group BPCE, which started allowing customers to tweet money to each other towards the end of 2014.
