TechHub pushes beyond Europe and into India as its co-working space for startups arrives in Bangalore

TechHub, a community of tech entrepreneurs and startup spaces, has announced that it will be opening its first hub in India in a bid to gain access to the country’s “predicted $100 billion technology industry”.

Based in Bangalore, the hub is the first eastern location for the organization, which started in London in the UK before moving to other UK and European cities, including Manchester, Swansea, Latvia and Bucharest.  The new venture will both support Indian entrepreneurs’ tech innovations and provide European business with access to the Indian tech cluster, a spokesperson said.

“Part of our mission is to bridge the physical distance between each TechHub and give our members – from the entrepreneur stage through to larger corporations – access to the brightest minds and ideas in the field,” Elizabeth Varley, co-founder and CEO of TechHub said.

“If you’re not taking advantage of the Indian market, you’re missing out on one of the largest emerging technology markets in the world and the incredible R&D experience and innovation it affords. Every company should have a position on India,” she added.

It’s unsurprising to see TechHub looking to India for further expansion given that it said Bangalore attracted more tech talent than Silicon Valley in the last year alone.
