Sony’s PlayStation Now game streaming service is live for PC users

Last week, Sony announced that it was bringing its PlayStation Now game streaming service to PCs. It’s now live, with six more titles available to play.

PC users will need to sign up for the service, which costs $19.99 a month or $99.99 for a year, and download the Windows app to get started. There’s a free 7-day trial for you to test PlayStation Now before subscribing.

In addition to the existing collection of more than 400 PS3 games that you can stream, six more titles have been added to the PlayStation Now library: Mafia II, Tomb Raider Game of the Year Edition, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution, Heavy Rain (with The Taxidermist DLC) and Borderlands: Ultimate Edition. The side-scrolling action classic, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, will become available in October.

It’s worth noting that PlayStation Now will see you streaming a fair amount of data, so if you’ve got a usage cap on your broadband connection, keep an eye on how much you consume through the service. Of course, this won’t affect you if you’re on an unlimited data plan.
