Snapchat is down for many users [Updated]

Snapchat is down for many users [Updated]

Downdetector indicates the problems started around 2:09 PM ET. The outage map suggests it’s pretty widespread, although again, it doesn’t appear to affect all users.

What will we do now? Do we have to send our friends – gasp – permanent selfies now? How will I make myself look like a creepy mash up of human and emoji? I guess there’s always Instagram if you want almost the same exact Stories feature.

A fix shouldn’t take too long, but until then, stay strong friends.

Update 4:05 PM: We’re now able to log on and users are reporting their service has returned. No official world from Snapchat yet that it’s all been fixed, but we imagine it shouldn’t be long now.
