For years, Google has offered a cache of excellent fonts for use on websites, apps like Docs and for your desktop tools. Now, the site has been completely overhauled with a beautiful interface that makes it easy to find the right typeface for your next design project.

Google Fonts now has a brand new layout that displays font previews in a dynamic grid that resizes as you adjust your preferences. You can check out every style for each font, change the preview text and compare options side by side. A handy sidebar lets you filter the library of more than 800 fonts by category, language and parameters like thickness, slant and width.

If you’re looking for inspiration, you can visit the Featured section to see some beautiful fonts curated into collections. And as usual, you can download the fonts you like to your desktop, or grab code snippets to embed them into your own sites.
