Doo’s card-based productivity app arrives on Mac to stop your procrastination

A few months ago we wrote about Doo, a card-based productivity app that aims to help you get stuff done without overwhelming you. Now, the app has expanded from iOS to Mac, and comes with several new features – and a price drop.

Doo for Mac lets you add, snooze, and completely tasks just like you would on the iOS app – just this time, using your trackpad instead. Instead of the editing button on the mobile version, you can drag and drop items to plan your schedule. You can also add the app to your menu bar for quick glances at your list.

New features coming to both iOS and Mac versions are the ability to specify snooze time, such as 15 minutes, an hour, or until tonight. Doo creator Michael Ciarlo, formerly of Readability, says the goal is to not let users snooze for more than a day or two, because it just means you’re never truly completing the task.

“Doo would rather you snooze tasks for short periods rather than condition you to avoid them,” he wrote in a Medium post.

But if you’re really busy, you can always mute notifications, or ask Doo to alert you to a task ahead of its due date. Lastly, Doo is now just $2.99 to download instead of $4.99 – so if you snoozed on getting the app before, now’s a good time to reconsider.
