Now you can play Sonic the Hedgehog on your TV again

Now you can play Sonic the Hedgehog on your TV again

If you were a Sonic the Hedgehog fan back when the old Sega was the best console around, then today might be your lucky day because you can now play it on Apple TV.

Sonic the Hedgehog has had quite the journey, from being on TV over 20-years ago, to launching on mobile in 2013 and now making a comeback to television (of sorts) again.

The Apple TV game costs $2.99 and is essentially a re-mastered version of the iOS app but still retains all of its classic features, from collecting rings at lightning speeds to saving the planet from Dr Eggman.

It’s not just the original that’s back on our screens though, super fans will be glad to hear that Sega is also bringing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic CD to tvOS on March 24 and March 31 respectively. There is no word on how much these versions will cost just yet.

So your TV will soon have all the Sonic games as near as possible to how you remember them from when you were a kid.
