Snapchat has launched a $0.99 store that lets you keep your Lenses forever

Snapchat, the ephemeral messaging service that I’m convinced I will never understand, has launched a store that lets you download Lenses to keep forever.

Following the introduction of Lenses a few months back, the store lets you choose from more than 30 paid options every day and each will cost 99 cents. There are still be free lenses available each day too though – it’s not a bait-and-switch.

Unlike the free lenses, the ones you pay for will stick around for as long as you like.

According to The Verge, the lenses will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and a few other European countries, with others to follow later. The update is rolling out today.

Honestly, have no idea why you’d want to do this, but I’m coming to accept that I just don’t think I’m ever going to be friends with Snapchat.
