Microsoft has announced updates for its Translator app for iOS and WatchOS 2 that should make it easier to communicate in a foreign language when you’re traveling.
Depending on your location and the time of day, the watch app will automatically show you common phrases like “good morning” and “goodbye” in the local language.
In addition, you can use the Time Travel feature to view phrases for other times of day, like “good night.”
The update will also allow you to play back recent and pinned translations through the watch speaker, making it easy to learn and incorporate phrases into your conversations in the local language.
These features will be available when WatchOS 2 arrives on September 16.
