Snapchat rolls out ‘tap to view’ so you can take your fingers off the screen

Snapchat has changed how you view snaps or stories. Instead of pressing and holding, you only need to tap the screen. No more numb fingers when you’re checking out longer snaps!

There is also a neat new ‘add nearby’ function that allows you to find local Snapchat users and add them to your friends list. Additionally, you can see friends on the list and get in touch when they’re nearby.

Snapcodes are also getting a “serious upgrade.” You can now add a selfie to the center of the code so everyone knows it’s yours. Snapcode screenshots can be sent through Add Friends when you see the codes in other apps.

For those concerned with Snapchat security, the company says two-factor authentication is now available.
