There’s no excuse for not using two factor security with 1Password’s latest Mac update

1Password 5.3, the latest update for Mac, has arrived today and makes it even easier to use two factor on all your accounts.

Barcode-Scanner-With-BorderThe company added two factor support in 1Password for iPhone’s last update but now that it’s on desktop, there’s no reason to not switch over from Google Authenticator to this app, since you can grab those pesky one time codes right from your Mac or iPhone.

1Password for Windows also supports two factor authentication.

Now that the company’s made it dead simple to get to your one time codes there’s really no excuse to not go ahead and enable two factor authentication on everything from your Google account to your Twitter.

There are also a number of smaller changes in this release, such as the ability to make calls directly from your password vault and a smarter form filler.
