Twitch, WATCH Disney, iHeartRadio and DramaFever apps now support Chromecast streaming

Twitch, WATCH Disney, iHeartRadio and DramaFever apps now support Chromecast streaming

The number of Chromecast-compatible mobile apps continues to grow, making it easier for Android and iOS users to fling content across to their TVs. Google highlighted a few new additions today, including the video game streaming platform Twitch.

At one point it was Google, not Amazon, that was rumored to be acquiring Twitch. Even though the deal never went through, it’s notable to see the service supporting Google’s tiny streaming dongle. From both the Android and iOS apps, you can now cast livestreams and archived videos at any time.

Alongside Twitch, Google also announced Chromecast support for the WATCH Disney, WATCH Disney Junior and WATCH Disney XD apps. Many parents will be familiar with these apps and the content they offer to keep younger viewers occupied – now you can display them on the big screen in your living room.

Rounding out the new additions is the internet radio service iHeartRadio and international drama streaming platform DramaFever.
