Indiegogo’s first native iPhone app is now available worldwide following a brief Canada-only stint

Indiegogo has announced that the iOS app it released at the beginning of July for users in Canada is now available globally.

As a brief recap, the app allows users to browse through campaigns based on categories or recommendations, claim perks and share the ones they find most interesting with friends. On the campaigner’s side of things, there are features for keeping atop of campaign management, like notifications for each time a contribution is made and the ability to monitor comments and post updates or pictures, for example.

There are no other changes (other than availability) but Indiegogo taking its first native mobile app beyond Canada’s borders will be a key step in both its mobile and global ambitions. To that end, it also says there’s an Android app on the way, but there’s no definitive arrival date just yet.
