500px launches Insights for iPhone to help photographers track their stats

500px, the photo portfolio website, has launched 500px Insights, a free iPhone companion app that lets you track your stats while on the go. Insights is designed to assist with a variety of research-based photo routines related to your posted 500px portfolio.

For example, you can view a map of all your geotagged photos, determine your most-used tags and categories, and even use information to decide the best time to upload your photos to the site.

The app also lets you track colleagues in the 500px community by accessing the most viewed, commented, liked, favorited and highest rated photos. Information is available on the most popular cameras used, where are photographers are from, where photos were shot, and what tags and categories others are using as compared with your own.

The app lets you view stats for popular photos and all-time best photos. It lets you organize top photos ranked by the 500px proprietary Pulse algorithm for views, likes, favorites, comments, or geo-location. Information on the most popular tags, categories and photo orientations (panorama, portrait, landscape, square) is also available.

Users who log in can see even more advanced panels such as the times your account is active and popular, how many actions occur on your account every day, and the latest notifications for your account, such as likes, favorites, new followers and comments with push notifications.

A 500px Plus account is also available for those who want access to even more advanced profile graphs and charts.

The app is optimized for iPhone 5 and runs on iOS 7.
