Endomondo announces Pebble smartwatch support for its GPS fitness tracking app, iPhone only for now

Wildly popular GPS fitness tracker Endomondo has finally announced support for the Pebble smartwatch, following a bombardment of requests from its “passionate users.” However, it will only be available for iPhones at first.

The new Pebble app will be available through the Pebble store from 10am Pacific Time today (July 2), and will let users start, pause and stop a workout. It will also display three configurable metrics – including distance traveled, heart-rate and duration. The app will also vibrate the Pebble for each mile/kilometer, while displaying a performance summary too.

This brings Endomondo into line with RunKeeper and Runtastic, which have both offered Pebble integration for a while. And the Danish company says that it will introduce Android support later this year.
