Travel-planning startup Tripomatic has launched a brand new iteration of its Android app, redesigned from the ground up.
In addition to the all-new design and layout, Tripomatic now sports an offline mode that lets you access maps and points-of-interest for more than 400 cities. These are available via an in-app purchase, costing $4.90 or your local currency equivalent. Additionally, you can now book your hotel directly from within the app, and access public transport maps in many cities
The Czech Republic-based company launched initially in 2011 purely as a Web-based platform, with users entering their destination and how long they plan to stay, and Tripomatic plots out attractions on a map. The startup finally launched a version for iOS in May 2012, followed by the Android incarnation last year.
