The freshly launched Beats Music service will be launching its app for Windows Phone devices on January 24, according to the company’s CEO Ian Rogers.

While it launched for US listeners today on the Web, Android and iOS, a version for Windows Phone devices is nowhere to be seen. However, Rogers took to Twitter to let people know that a version is on its way. Or at least, he said a Windows Mobile version was. We presume he meant Windows Phone.

While it’s likely a disappointment to Windows Phone owners that they can’t try out the service on their handsets from day one, it’s actually heartening to see that ‘the third platform’ is now getting newly-launched apps almost from day one, rather than support coming weeks or months down the line.
