Motorola Assist now lets you receive and reply to text messages completely hands-free with your voice

Motorola today updated its Motorola Assist app with new hands-free texting features. You can download the new version now directly from Google Play.

The full changelog is as follows:

  • You can now reply to incoming SMS messages using just your voice.
  • Improved driving detection.
  • While driving, Motorola Assist will automatically launch your favorite music app.
  • Bug fixes!

That second point is thanks to an update to Motorola Contextual Services, which powers the activity detection in Assist and optimizes Touchless Control. The new version helps make drive mode detection faster and more accurate using Bluetooth for Assist.
