Endomondo launches training plans in beta for premium users of its fitness apps on Android and iOS

Endomondo is launching a training plans feature in beta for its iPhone and Android app users today, giving fitness enthusiasts the ability to create their own personalized workout regimes.

These customizable plans, available only to Premium subscribers, take into account the number of runs, cycle rides and walks already logged by users, as well as specific days they prefer to exercise and when they want to reach a specific distance (5km, 10km, half marathon, marathon, or a custom distance).

Training plans are created on the Endomondo site, then synced with the Sports Tracker mobile app. Push notifications are sent to users’ devices to remind them of when they need to exercise; a new tab in the app’s main menu can then be used to keep track of their progress and upcoming workouts.
