Visual discovery service Gojee has spun off the food section of its iOS app into its own standalone offering and rebranded its main app to focus on the Fashion & Home verticals.

The iOS app first hit the App Store last September. Gojee actually started out with an emphasis on food and drinks before branching out last fall into new categories like lingerie, clothing, bags and home decor.

The split should appeal to Gojee’s original base of gourmands, while enabling the company to delve deeper into shopping verticals that are easier to monetize. Users that enjoy both the food and fashion sides of Gojee can still find recipes in the discover section of the Gojee Fashion & Home app.

The new Gojee Food is mouth-watering. It features a minimalist iOS 7-style design with the firm’s usual emphasis on beautiful visuals.

Gojee has also redesigned its website to more clearly represent the divide between the Food & Drink and Fashion and Home Decor sections.
