Enter Lively.fm, which lets users discover new music by scouring about 50 million blogs as potential sources.
Last week, the team behind the service launched its first mobile application (for iOS). I’ve tested it out and like what I see – and hear.

There isn’t really much to say about the app in terms of what functionality it offers, because it is as charmingly simple as the Web app. When you open the iOS app, you’ll see a feed of album covers that you can click to start (legally) streaming music instantly, although you can also search for specific tracks or peruse the ‘top charts’.
You can also follow specific artists, heart songs and share what you’re listening to on Facebook and Twitter. As I said, simple. And really nice.
The app is free, and the sources for music are continuously updated, every 10 minutes. Lively.fm also recently released a mobile-optimized version of its Web app and is now developing an Android app.
Also on the roadmap: the ability for users to create playlists.
Sounds great.
