Hulu gets a BIG update as it rolls out a new online video player that’s 55% larger

Video-on-demand (VoD) platform Hulu has rolled out a new, larger version of its browser-based video player and has given the interface a big of a spit-shine.

The new Hulu video player means that the screen-size just got 55% larger as of today, and it has a new frame and a drop-shadow, and it sits over a large, dark gray video matte.

Founded in 2007, Hulu is an online TV service that helps users discover premium content from around the world. Its ownership is shared between Hulu, NBCUniversal, NewsCorporation, The Walt Disney Company and Providence Equity Partners.

It also runs Hulu Plus, a subscription-based service that operates across a range of dedicated apps for mobile devices and consoles such as the Nintendo Wii.
