Serious gamers who also happen to be Mac users have long given up the hope that Mac OS X will ever be taken seriously as a gaming platform and moved on to consoles, but those outside that group will be glad to hear that Batman: Arkham Asylum and Duke Nukem Forever are now available for the Mac on the Mac App Store.
Duke Nukem Forever has the dubious distinction of spending 15 years in development and had widely been decried as “vapourware” for a long time before its official release earlier this year. It is now available to Mac OS X users as well, for the price of $29.99, from the Mac App Store. There are aliens and you get guns to shoot them—need we tell you more?
Batman: Arkham Asylum is a 2009 action-adventure stealth game that is regarded as the best comic-book superhero game ever released and, in fact, holds a Guinness World Record for it. In the $39.99 game, you play as Batman as he navigates his way around Arkham Asylum to stop his arch-nemesis, the Joker. As the latter says in the trailer, “Now let’s get this party started!”

LikeThis is pretty great news! I'd pick up Batman: AA if I didn't already have it for Windows. Would love to see it as a Steam Play title and I'd gladly download it and give it another run through on my Mac partition :)
If you haven't played Batman: AA, do so! It's a brilliant video game.
