We’ve already introduced you to Central.ly, an about.me alternative for companies. Now meet Israeli based start-up Nogeno, that offers the same concept, but catering instead to musicians.

Since Flavors.me launched over a year ago, the number of sites offering users the opportunity to create a virtual business card of sorts has continued to grow. Their popularity is probably mainly due to the simplicity and ease with which you can put together a professional looking profile in minutes.

With the inevitable need for accounts on social networks, a blog, a personal website, and more, these online profiles are also an ideal and visually appealing way to drive traffic exactly where you want it to go.

After signing up for a free Nogeno account using your email address, or just connecting your account to Facebook, you can get to filling in the information for your page and designing it. The very first step allows you to import any information you might already have stored on Bandcamp or MySpace.

Much like about.me and Central.ly, there is a simple wizard that takes you through each step, making it easy to choose a background image, choose the page’s colors, and connect your various social and online accounts.

Nogeno not only allows you to stream your music on your profile page, you can also offer the songs as free or paid downloads. Payment for downloads is made using Paypal.

The final product can come off looking like a professionally put together website, where your fans can listen to and download your music and keep up with your news.

There are a few differences between about Nogeno and its counterparts that do stand out, and not in a good way. In about.me, the bar at the top of the page is subtle, and is entirely non-existent in Central.ly. The bar at the top of every Nogeno page definitely detracts from the page’s design, and takes away from the personalized feel that the other sites offer.

The option to choose from a selection of fonts is desperately in need, particularly as the only option currently available will definitely not be to everyone’s liking.

That said, Canadian band The Left’s page is a great example of just how good your profile page can look using Nogeno.
