Amazon Kindle for iOS devices updated with grand new features

Amazon Kindle for iOS devices updated with grand new features

The Amazon Kindle for iPad app is a must have app if you’re an iPad owner and voracious reader.

The app, which is tailored to the size, look, and feel of the iPad, allows one to customize background color, font color, and font size to help ease eyestrain, adjust screen brightness from within the app to make reading easier,  as well as featuring page turn animation replicates the look of turning a page in a book.

Moreover, thanks to Amazon’s Whispersync technology, one’s books automatically sync to your last page read, and maintains bookmarks, notes and highlights with Kindle and Kindle-compatible devices PC, Mac, iPhone, and BlackBerry

Version 2.3, just updated for all iOS devices, has added grand new features:

  • Books now display in two columns when reading in landscape mode on the iPad.

  • Through a partnership with Shelfari, a new feature, “Book Extras,” has been added.  The feature provides character lists, plot summaries, series information and more.  To access, select the “Go To” menu when reading.

A great app, made even better with additional features.

Do you use the Kindle app for your mobile devices, or if you have an iPad/iPhone, are you an iBooks only individual?
