EverPaper. Android finally has a great Instapaper client.

EverPaper. Android finally has a great Instapaper client.

If  you’ve ever seen me write about Instapaper, it will come as no surprise to hear that I love the application.  Being able to save snippets from around the Internet, then sit and read them when I have the time is a lifesaver for me.  However, I don’t own an iPhone or an iPad, so I’ve been limited to reading on the iPod Touch and that’s just not convenient.

In the past, I’ve tried a few Instapaper Android clients that were stinking piles of fail, so my hopes weren’t too high when I found EverPaper.  However, the reviews looked promising, even if it only had around 500 downloads.  I jumped in and figured it was worth a shot.

Man, am I ever happy that I did.

EverPaper is the most solid Instapaper client for Android that I’ve ever had the pleasure of using.  First off, it’s ridiculously clean…just like Instapaper.  It has a wealth of options, and even has Evernote functions, however limited.

But what really matters is this: it just works.

As you’re browsing, you can add items to your Instapaper account, and when your Android device syncs, you can read them at your leisure.  This might not seem like such a big deal, if you’ve not gone through the hell of dealing with other Instapaper ports for Android.  However, for those of us who have, finally is not too strong a word.

EverPaper is available for free, from the Android Market.
