One of my all time favorite Safari features are the keyboard shortcuts available for bookmarklets. For those who don’t know, you can just press cmd-1, cmd-2, cmd-3 for the first, second, third bookmarklet respectively.
With Quix, the mother of all bookmarklets, I found myself gravitating towards Safari once again. That is, until a friend brought an extension called Shortcut Manager to my attention.
Despite the UI reminding me of a run down old car, the extension does the job and brings keyboard shortcuts to all major browser functions (e.g. close right tab, open a particular site), bookmarklets and in fact any snippet of javascript code out there.
Download the extension here and visit the extensions options page once installed. It’s all pretty straight forward from there.
