After news of delays and the release date being pushed back, Firefox 3.6 RC1 is now available to download for the Mac, Windows and Linux.
I’ve been using the latest 3.6 beta for some time now (on the mac) and can without question rate it as the most impressive Firefox release to date.
It’s fast, launches quickly and crashes very rarely. It does eventually slow down after a couple of hours of usage, however a quick restart usually fixes the problem.
Download the release for Windows, Mac, or Linux now.

I’m not quite happy with previous release. It freeze alot, a few minutes unresponsive, and javascript in seesmic stuck a lot. I hope this new version behave much better.
It’s nice to see FF 3.6 is almost done. It will bring a lot of ‘CSS3 power’ that webkit already has, like transitions.
This is not the RC1 – only a build (or a RC ;)) for RC 1 – check the FTP-Path ;)
