Apple Stores may soon let you trade in broken iPhones, install screen protectors on new ones

If you’ve got a broken iPhone you don’t know what to do with, we’ve got good news. It seems Apple may soon let you trade it in for credit towards a new device.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple is preparing to take trade-ins for iPhones with broken screens, cameras or buttons.

How much will you get? While it’s not an official program, here’s what the report says you may be able to squeeze out of Apple:

$50 for an iPhone 5S

$200 for an iPhone 6

$250 for an iPhone 6 Plus

To prevent you from coming back with another broken screen, Apple is also said to be working on in-store screen protector installation. Machines are reportedly heading to Apple Stores that let employees install screen protectors with ease.
