Apple’s upcoming product line-up will be the best in 25 years, says Eddy Cue

Apple executive Eddy Cue wants you to be very excited about what the company has up its sleeve. In fact, he believes Apple’s upcoming range of new products is the best it’s had for a quarter of a century, as he told Recode founders Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher at the Code conference today.

“Later this year, we’ve got the best product pipeline that I’ve seen in my 25 years at Apple,” he said.

Cue didn’t furnish the audience with specifics, of course, and this isn’t the first time Apple has hyped upcoming launches while providing no details.

Is his claim excessive or is Apple really planning a blockbuster set of new products?

There’s been plenty of talk about a refreshed Apple TV, large iPhones, an iWatch and possibly health-related technology — only time will tell. First up, Apple is likely to announce new software and developer-related tools at its WWDC event next week.
