Apple releases OS X 10.9.3 with improved 4K display support and USB contact, calendar syncing

Apple today updated OS X Mavericks to version 10.9.3, adding better 4K display support for late 2013 Mac Pros and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pros, and re-introduces the ability to sync calendars and contacts between an iOS device and a Mac over a USB connection.

The new release also addresses with VPN, Font Book, SMB file server permissions, network home directories, configuration profiles and Active Directory groups.

Apple last updated its desktop OS in February with version 10.9.2, which included a critical SSL fix and FaceTime Audio and iMessage blocking.
