Apple releases firmware update for 2012 MacBook Airs to fix potential data loss issue

Apple has released an important firmware update to the flash storage on its mid-2012 MacBook Airs that checks for a possible data loss issue and corrects the problem. The company is also offering a replacement drive in cases where the update fails to install.
