Apple reportedly planning iPad event on October 22

AllThingsD is reporting that Apple will hold its expected iPad event on October 22nd. In addition to new iPads, OS X Mavericks and the redesigned Mac Pro should also make an appearance at the show.

Earlier rumors had suggested the launch would come on the 15th, though CE: The Magazine had pegged the 22nd roughly one month ago. Last year’s fall iPad event, where Apple announced the iPad mini and the iPad 4, took place on October 23rd.

Meanwhile, Nokia is expected to announce its own tablet at Nokia World, which also kicks off on October 22nd, and Microsoft’s Surface 2 effort goes on sale the same day.
