Voice recognition software firm Nuance has sent a marketing email to developers suggesting that iOS 7 will arrive on September 10th, as noted by Owen Williams.
“As you are probably aware, iOS 7 GA will be released on September 10th,” the email reads.
While the email certainly gets hopes up for users excited for the next version of iOS, Nuance is unlikely to have inside information about Apple’s movements. In fact, it may just be basing its assumptions on earlier reports that Apple will unveil the next iPhone on September 10th. We’ve reached out to Nuance for more information.
The iOS 7 release is widely expected to coincide with the upcoming iPhone launch, though public availability isn’t likely to come on the same day as the rumored media event. As Matthew Panzarino noted on Twitter, Nuance may mistakenly be referring to speculation about the GM release, rather than GA.
If last year’s schedule follows, iOS 7 GM (the last developer build) will be on Sept 10, and GA (general availability) for everyone Sept 18

Multiple sources have suggested that Apple will release a champagne-colored version of the next iPhone, and the company is also expected to release a more affordable smartphone with multiple color options.
