It looks like the next iPhone is getting the gold treatment.

Following Rene Ritchie’s compelling report on iMore explaining the likelihood of  an anodized gold iPhone 5S, MG Siegler is corroborating it over at TechCrunch from his own sources.

Given the pair’s respective track records, a gold edition of the next-generation iPhone certainly looks like it’s going to happen. When I first heard the rumor, I thought it sounded like a chintzy move, but Apple is bound to have come up with some clever marketing spin to convince us the device is classy.

With reports continuing to stack up for an affordable, and colorful, iPhone 5C, you should have plenty of choices this fall. Would you buy a gold/champagne colored iPhone?
