iPad mini orders arriving two days early in France, as Apple moves LTE preorder shipment dates

iPad mini orders arriving two days early in France, as Apple moves LTE preorder shipment dates

Going on sale last Friday, the earliest iPad mini orders aren’t due to arrive on customers’ doorsteps for another two days, some third-party resellers are shipping the new 7.9-inch Apple tablet early, at least in France.

A reader of French Apple website iGen.fr reported that he had received his iPad mini order earlier today, coming two days before its original shipment date. Instead of ordering via the official website, this particular order was placed using French Apple reseller Darty.

At The Next Web, orders are still showing as ‘Preparing for shipment,’ having ordered via the Apple website.

While the WiFi-only iPad mini is still showing 2 week delivery times on the Apple website, the LTE model has seen shipments slip to “mid-November” in the US and “late-November” in the UK.

9to5mac points out that some customers are noticing that Apple has removed the shipping date from their early iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular orders, stripping the previous delivery estimate of November 23.

When Apple launched the iPad mini it alerted customers that the cellular model would not ship until November, but today’s shipment amendments suggest iPad mini could be going the way of the iPhone 5, in that Apple isn’t able to maintain keep up with demand.
