Apple has released a video of the event it staged to celebrate the life of its founder Steve Jobs who passed away earlier this month.
“Celebrating Steve” is an 80 minute long video shot when Apple closed its store on Wednesday October 19th to stage the tribute event at its campus in Cupertino, California.

The event began with Apple CEO Tim Cook – who announced had previously invited all Apple employees to attend – paying tribute to Jobs, going on to cover the company’s progress under his stewardship and the accomplishments made. Entertainment was provided with performances from Coldplay and Norah Jones.

The event itself was strictly for Apple employees, although the video can now be watched on the Apple website at this link.
In order to watch the video, those using Snow Leopard or Lion will require Safari 4 or 5 running, with Safari required for any device running iOS 3 or later. Windows users wishing to watch the tribute will need to run or install QuickTime 7.
Luminaries of Silicon Valley, figures within the tech elite and those personally close to the technology visionary paid tribute to Jobs’ life at an event held on October 16th, the day that the state of California declared to be Steve Jobs Day.
