Apple announces free iOS 5 Tech Talk 2011 training in 9 cities

Apple has today announced its iOS 5 Tech Talk 2011 World Tour training series that it is bringing to 9 cities. This is a 1 day conference that is designed to let iOS developers learn development tricks and tips from Apple experts.

The event is free for all registered developers but the space is first-come, first-served. There are events happening in the following cities:

  • Berlin, Germany November 2
  • London, UK November 7
  • Rome, Italy November 9
  • Beijing, China December 5
  • Seoul, South Korea December 8
  • São Paolo, Brazil January 9, 2012
  • New York City, USA January 13, 2012
  • Seattle, Washington January 18, 2012
  • Austin, Texas January 23, 2012

The event looks like a good way to get some training directly from Apple on a lot of the new iOS 5 specific features of iOS. You can check out a full PDF of the agenda here to see if there is anything that interests you.

Some standouts are the adoption of iCloud storage into your apps, the ARC talk which should help people transition to Apple’s new garbage collection techniques and the Core image talk about adding video and photo effects to your apps. And lets not forget the wine and cheese.

The <3 of EU tech

The latest rumblings from the EU tech scene, a story from our wise ol' founder Boris, and some questionable AI art. It's free, every week, in your inbox. Sign up now!

The event page is live now so if you’re interested I highly suggest you head on over to sign up. You must be a registered developer to attend as Apple says that it may discuss some pre-release features of iOS 5.
