Steve Jobs’ biography renamed, no longer ‘iSteve: The book of Jobs’

While I have already pre-ordered my copy of Walter Isaacson’s upcoming biography of Apple CEO Steve Jobs, I was never all that impressed by its name. That’s why I’m happy to see that its name has been changed from ‘iSteve: The Book of Jobs‘ to something more dignified.

According to Fortune, the new title of the book is ‘Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson‘.

That’s much nicer and seems much more fitting for a bio of one of the world’s most intriguing and influential CEO’s. Apparently, the name was chosen by publisher Simon & Schuster’s publicity department and never settled well with Isaacson. His wife and daughter agreed with him and though that the name was ‘too cutesy’. Isaacson managed to persuade the publisher to go with the newer, simplified title.

The book is available for pre-order from Amazon, which is incorrectly calling it ‘Steve Jobs: A Biography’. Isaacson is a renowned biographer who is the former chairman of CNN and former managing editor of Time Magazine. He has previously bio’d Henry Kissinger, Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein.
